My Story

33 years. Still standing. Still becoming.

I know this life from the inside.


I'm Carol Crawley—a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the wife of a retired police officer. I didn't come to this work from the outside looking in. I came to it because I lived it.

I know what it's like to hold your breath until he walks through the door — to carry the weight of the household, the emotions, the kids, while he carries something heavier that he can't always put into words. To love someone deeply and still feel profoundly alone in the life you've built together.

We've been married 33 years. It hasn't always been easy. There was a season when I wasn't sure we were going to make it. But God had other plans—and that season changed everything about how I show up for the women I serve.

This understanding has only deepened as I've watched my own son serve as both a firefighter and in the military, carrying many of the same unseen burdens I've known in my marriage.

Why This Work Matters


For years I've walked alongside first responder families in my clinical work. And what I kept seeing was the same woman, over and over—strong, capable, faithful, and exhausted. Carrying more than anyone around her understood. I built Love on the Thin Line for her.

My Approach

Everything I offer is grounded in faith and trauma-informed care.

I believe you were made for more than survival. That the weight you carry doesn't have to pull you under. That being truly known is where healing begins.

I completed graduate-level work in Biblical counseling and hold a seminary degree—so when I say this work is faith-grounded, I don't mean it lightly. My clinical training includes EMDR and trauma-focused approaches that address what talk therapy alone can't always reach.

This is formation work.

Not just coping — but becoming.
